I just thought I would post a brief success story regarding the success of using a remedy in an acute situation. Someone on a breed specific list I belong to had a situation where a mother dog and one of her pups surprised a nest of yellow jackets in the backyard and both dogs were stung multiple times. She mentioned how she quick got them inside and gave each a Benadryl to help stop any severe reactions from the stings. She also mentioned how badly the mother dog had been stung on the eyebrow and how swollen it was even after the Benadryl.
I mentioned that she might want to give Apis a try and told her to give a single dry dose then make a MS to give a second dose, if needed. She asked me a few questions about giving the same amount to both the mother dog and the puppy (yes, both get the same tsp amount), could she put the remedy directly on the eyebrow sting (I told her no - just give orally) and a few other basic questions. She followed my recommendations by giving each a dry dose then giving the mother dog a second dose since she had seen some improvement with the dry dose but not full improvement. She wrote to me this morning to tell me that the eyebrow looks completely normal now and the mother dog is back to herself!! She had also told me about how lethargic the mother dog was last night right around the time she received the second dose but that she was back to her bouncy self this morning.
I was thrilled to read that it worked so effectively for her and this was on a dog who had been stung multiple times. She was ecstatic and expressed her thanks profusely.
Just another success story for homeopathy....
