Hi everyone,
Just wanted to post a follow-up on Daisy's osteosarcoma case that Magda cured with Homeopathy. Back in July of 2005 Daisy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her rear right leg on the basis of x-rays. In Aug. of 2005 when we did a follow-up x-ray after one month of homeopathic treatment, both my regular vet and the consulting oncologist vet had changed the diagnosis to "severe degenerative joint disease" because they said it wasn't progressing quickly enough and couldn't believe that homeopathy could be responsible for slowing the progression (this x-ray after one month of treatment did show slight progression). Originally they both called it osteosarcoma, but I hadn't done the biopsy since #1 we were treating it with homeopathy as cancer regardless, #2 the biopsy could cause further damage and #3 according to her case history from a homeopathic perspective, cancer wasn't exactly any big surprise. They did both say it was caught earlier than most cases. The final follow-up x-ray in Nov. of 2005 showed it to be gone (well just showed traces of arthritis which is what they called it this time as opposed to "severe degenerative joint disease"). Actually the diagnosis of "severe degenerative joint disease" never made any sense to me because the reason I took her in initially was to have her hips x-rayed (due to the slight limp she had developed). Her hips were actually considered "good" for her age; the mass they found was above her knee (or maybe below, I can't even remember), but NOT IN her joint. Plus prior to this limp, she never showed any signs of arthritis or any problems at all with her legs - she sat straight, could do a perfect straight "drop", etc.
Well I've been taking Daisy to an acupuncturist since she was diagnosed with masticatory myositis a few months ago. We wanted to get her weaned off of the prednisone she had to take for that and Magda thought it would be okay to incorporate the acupuncture into her treatment plan. This vet is very holistically minded and has also seen the benefits of homeopathy first-hand with her cat. She was taking Daisy's case history with great interest at the first visit and asked me if I could bring all of the x-rays for her to look at. I mean she was even writing down the names of all of the remedies Daisy had taken, Dr. Ramakrishnan's name, the name of his book - just very interested in all of the details. I brought the x-rays in a while ago and the radiologist that visits their office just got a chance to look at them. Their take on the x-rays were yes they would have called it osteosarcoma in both the July and Aug. x-rays. In the Nov. x-ray there were no signs of cancer, just some arthritis. Dr. Bea (acupuncturist) said that even if it wasn't full blown cancer YET in those initial x-rays, that is what it would have been diagnosed with eventually. The homeoapthy turned it all around.
The other thing that this radiologist found that no one else had noticed was that there were also two suspicious spots on her lung. The follow-up x-rays showed them to be gone as well (have to mention this to my vet and ask him to look at the x-rays again - this freaked me out but I guess I'm glad I didn't know about it at the time).
Today Daisy RUNS again. While she was being treated she hardly could get up and actually didn't try much at all. I had a blow-up mattress in the living room where I slept during her treatment because I didn't want her to try and go up the stairs to our bedroom. When I open the door now and watch her run out to the backyard to chase and dig for her chipmunks it never ceases to amaze me. This July will be 2 years since the initial diagnosis. Daisy turned 7 in Dec. I never thought she would make it to 6. She is my miracle girl and has taught me so much. Even though Magda tells me she is not a miracle worker I have a hard time believing otherwise :)
The bad thing is that there is not enough time left in Daisy's life to un-do all of the damage she has. The cancer and arthritis miasm are very closely related so it is no surprise that she has arthritis now (maybe Magda could explain this again - I thought I understood it for a brief moment). And as we continue to treat her and layers peel away, things are going to pop up (the masticatory myositis is an example). Magda was surprised that nothing had come up sooner - told me she had been waiting for something to happen with Daisy for a while now. So I think the plan now is more to just keep her comfortable and happy and maybe not try to un-do all of her layers - so that we don't bring up new problems for her (well I guess they aren't really "new", just suppressed??). Maybe Magda will chime in a little bit about these last few sentences. Not sure I fully understand but I think I get the gist.
Diane
Thanks to Diane, I found Magda. It was one of Diane's posts that got my attention when I was desperately searching for a "Cure" or a better way for my dog Polly who was just diagnosed with Osteo Sarcoma in her front leg. My story is different than Diane & Daisy, my dog is older, she is bigger and I have done my fair share over her long life of insulting her constitution with vaccines, kibble, and too much of the Western Vet interventions. Had I known then what I know now, the road would be different.
Polly is 10 years old, she was dx with Osteo on January 31st, She also has severe hip dysplaysia. Within a few weeks after finding Magda, and begging her to take on our case, we started Polly on remedies. By that time Polly's tumor was progressively growing, and kept slowly growing three weeks into the remedies.
When we started Polly on the remedies we stopped all pain suppressants and took the BIG plunge into putting all of our trust in Magda and Classical Homeopathy. It was a shock for us all at first, Polly's hips are pretty advanced by this stage and they hurt, along with the new and very painful osteo sarcoma on her front leg, she was not moving very much, I had to encourage her to get up and go to the bathroom. We made another change thanks to Magda's advice, we started feeding Prey model raw which Polly absolutely LOVES, she made an effort to get up and eat. We had been feeding BARF for 6 years prior, but the prey made a large difference, it solved her constipation problem too.
The remedies made a difference in Polly from the inside first. Her energy, her demeanor, her mood slowly but surely heightened. Her leg was sore, but she still made that effort to find her squeaky toy and make music with it for us. She was telling us everything was going to be OK, and if it wasn't, then that's OK too because life is good Right Now!
As the remedies changes every week, and the months went by Polly improved more and more and more. Small changes added up to a big noticeable difference. She is now hiking a mile a day, she runs when she is not supposed to, she jumps when i am not looking. We were at the park a few days ago, and a couple pointed out that she had sore hips. There I was smiling from ear to ear, happy to hear this. They thought I was crazy. when i told them she had Osteo Sarcoma in her front leg, they were amazed! The first thing they said was is she on any pain killers! and she should be getting pain killers. I did not even bother to explain homeopathy, i just said she is getting good treatment. The reality of their comment made me sad, I too was like them not long ago. Through ignorance and laziness we are stupid and dependent on Western Medicine.
Polly continues to improve, she loves life and the weirdest thing is this, she has never looked this good (except when she was a puppy!). Thank You Magda, and thanks to Hahnemann who devoted his life to ease the suffering of humanity. Classical Homeopathy deserves the highest degree of respect.
