car-hating dog

Sunday the most amazing thing happened: my car-hating dog Kadin rode w/ her nose at the tip of the window I had cracked open beside her. For the past almost 2 years, Kadin has been afraid to ride in the car, she cowers on her belly, or sits up panting & shaking. She has now had 2 doses of Magda's remedy & has a spark in her eyes, & is starting to explore new things! I was bringing her home from daycare & had a window cracked in the back, which normally causes her to sit on the other side of the car; & she sat up when we were at a stop-light & looked out the window for the 1st time! Then she put her nose up to smell the smells coming inside the window & kept her nose there the whole ride home (about 8 minutes). I was so excited to see some changes in her overall attitude!

hyperactiveness in a dog

Had to share . . . Magda has been working with me on my young male scottie : Liam.

He has a wonderful temperament with people but received vacs as a pup --not all of them, but some, plus rabies. He was an absolutely hyper dog around other dogs.

He is gorgeous and I wanted him as a stud dog for my kennel but his behaviour was wild with new dogs, at obedience classes, at dog shows, etc.

He relaxed after his first dose of remedy but it had to be repeated (will find out after I update Magda in my next weekly report to her privately) whether he will need anything else.

He has calmed down so much and I took him to grooming classes yesterday and he was so good (well except when he had his nails done:-)). I had warned the others he might be a handful but everyone thought he was wonderful. He even pulled himself together during the nail trim and knocked off the carrying on.

I am just so delighted to see him like this, and I had to share with people who understand.

aggression and health issues

I just had to post the latest success I have had with my dog Ross this weekend. I am just SO proud of him I could burst!!!

First, a little background. Ross is a rescue who came to me at age 2 with serious dog aggression issues, as well as many health problems. I switched him to raw, stopped all drugs and vaxes and did tons and tons of training with him. He's a fabulous boy and came a long way in both health and his ability to control his temper. But he would still get into fights, and still had allergies plus elevated kidney and liver values, chronic ear infections, episodes of fear and depression and a number of other issues. After two years I knew I had to push the boundaries of what I was doing and find better ways to help him.

Enter homeopathy! I started working with Magda with him last August. He was found to be hypothyroid so that was treated as well. 10 months later he is a different dog. He has become so good around other dogs that I can let him off leash in public and even if another dog comes bounding up, he just says hello and is easily called back.

In fact, he has been so great that I decided to take him with me to an agility trial this weekend. There were over 400 dogs competing, plus many more as spectators. Remember this is a dog who even a year ago would attack any dog who came near him, and fixate on those far away to such an extent that he could not think.

Well, yesterday he was absolutely brilliant. He was calm and controled, and stayed 100% focused on me. All the training we have done came into play and I was able to work him right up to the ring and sit ring-side with him for 30 mintues. Dogs were moving around us, passing within inches of him. Yet he stayed focused on me and didn't once growl, lunge or even look at another dog!!!!!

The even bigger test came today - would I see any regression in behaviour? Any return of his old patterns, such as fighting with my other dogs or hiding under the bed and refusing to come out? The answer is NO!!! :))))

I can't express how excited I am by this. I will be starting to travel for trials with my other dog later this summer and was worried about what I would do with Ross. Now I know I can bring him with me and it will be enjoyable for both of us. Not only that, but this tells me that I will also some day be able to compete with him. If he can stay that focused on me in a crowd, he will be able to stay focused in the ring.

Without Homeopathy (and Magda!), this would never have been possible.

THANK YOU!!!!!

One more thing I forgot to add... the last time I had his blood-levels checked, his kidney and liver values were all normal. YEAH!!!

Helene
